Student Contests
Eligibility: Any student enrolled in an undergraduate, M.S. or Ph.D. program is welcome to participate, provided they meet the following criteria:
- You may only submit one title per contest category. For example, a PhD student may submit a title for a PhD poster, a PhD paper, and a video, but may not submit in an MS category. However, when submitting both a paper and a poster it is best practice that there is little overlap between submissions.
- Students who won a 1st place award in any category at a previous NCWSS Annual Meeting are not eligible to compete in that category again. For example, an MS student who won 1st place in an MS poster category in 2023 is not eligible to compete in the MS poster category in 2024, but may submit a title for the MS paper contest. A PhD student who won a 1st place in an MS paper contest in 2023 is eligible to participate in the PhD paper contest in 2024.
